Human Drizzle: The Playlist, July 2015

That time again.

Whack this on when you’re lounging about the pool sipping a cocktail in the sweltering heat this weekend. If you have to make do with frisbee in the park, a few Red Stripes and a portable speaker, then just as well.

Summer vibes-a-plenty on this one with the return of Bag Raiders, Aeroplane and that jazzy Polish producer, Klaves. Frankey & Sandrino, Fort Romeau and Dusky are in there too if you’re after something a little deeper.

Enjoy, and as ever, hit us up over on Twitter if you think we’ve missed the unmissable.

Wayward – I Can’t Dance

Wayward are back with ‘I Can’t Dance’, the first single from their forthcoming ‘Embroider’ EP on Tropics Records.

Getting us right in the summer mood, ‘I Can’t Dance’ has the same soulful and Balearic production we’ve come to know and love from the duo. Keep your eyes peeled for tour dates over the summer, and if you’re London-based and free on 18th June, we highly recommend heading down to their debut live show at The Ace Hotel. It’s nearly sold out though, so bag your ticket here.

Roosevelt – Hold On

The go-to man to soundtrack sunnier climes is back on the scene as the summer steps it up a gear…

‘Hold On’ joins ‘Night Moves’ as t’other half of Roosevelt’s new double A-side which is due for release on Greco-Roman on 10th July. More fun vibes from the Cologne-based producer to add to an ever-increasing catalogue of goodness. Here’s some he did earlier:

Ben Browning – Friends Of Mine

Cut Copy’s keyboardist Ben Browning serves up this feel-good tune ahead of releasing his debut album on Yellow Year Records on 16th June. We’re expecting a lot more sample-heavy, synth pop gems to come out the woodwork as the summer rolls on. You can file ‘Friends Of Mine’ next to one of our guilty-pleasures of the year, ‘King’. Gryffin on the remix:

Found Festival – Brockwell Park 13th June

Just over two weeks now until Found Festival presents five carefully curated electronic stages of electronic music at its new home of Brockwell Park in South London’s Brixton. Block out Saturday 13th June in the diary if you’ve not already.

The line-up is now complete and with the likes of George FitzGerald, Nick Curly and party promoters Feelings hosting stages, it’s looking very tasty indeed. Not to mention big hitters Guy Gerber, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Genius Of Time on the main stage. Here’s how the full line-up is looking:

Tickets can be bought here. There’s only a limited number of £35 tickets left before they move on up in price, so you best get to it.

Ekkah – Last Chance To Dance (Goldroom Remix)

Goldroom’s back on the scene to brighten up your Mondays. The US producer’s added his golden touch to duo Ekkah’s single from last November, ‘Last Chance To Dance’. The keys in this one take us back to his wonderful work on Nikki & The Dove’s ‘Mother Protect’, another feel-good hit to put you on the right foot this week:

Sirens Of Lesbos – Long Days Hot Nights (Claptone Remix)

The interestingly-named Greek six-piece collective Sirens of Lesbos are releasing their debut single ‘Long Days Hot Nights’ a week today on Exploited Records. It’s a wonderful slice of what they call ‘Fantasy Music’, an ode to the balearic spirit of summer. Claptone‘s on the release too, providing a remix that‘ll take it from the beach and onto the dancefloor.

Not a bad start to the week:

Tensnake – Feel Of Love (Joe Goddard Remix)

Joe Goddard’s back adding his magic touch to Tensnake’s new single ‘Feel Of Love’. The German producer originally made the tune with heavyweights Jamie Lidell and Jacques Lu Cont, and now the 2 Bears and Hot Chip producer has stretched it out and soaked the tune in carnival vibes. It goes on and on, and it still isn’t long enough.*

Jokes vid for the original too:

*If you’re London-based and want that little bit more, we highly recommend getting down to The Nest this Friday night for Goddard’s weighty 5-hour set. It’s already sold out but we hear there’s plenty of tickets on the door.
