Top 5 Tracks of the Week

 1. Seb Wildblood – :~^: This gem of a track was floating around last year and we’re pleased to see it finally get a release on Wildblood’s forthcoming album of the same name (the one with the emoticon?), out on Omena Records on 17th April.

2. Dark Sky – Filter EP: Have patience with the new Dark Sky EP and you will be rewarded. More impressive sounds from the Londoners, out this week on Monkeytown Records. Catch them live at the Queens Yard Summer Party on Sunday 30th April alongside Andrew Ashong and Auntie Flo, stalls from Phonica and Lobster Records and a number of pop-up food and drink stalls. One for the diary.

3. Maurice Jnr. & Seb Miguel – The Science of Life: Regular readers will know we’re big fans of the Sugarhouse Records crew, particularly after Paradise Forum’s consistent delivery of excellence at some of our parties. ‘T.S.O.L’ is the second track from the third EP on the label and it’s another slice of soulful, deep house fun. Keep Bouncin’…

4. Geotic – Billionth Remnant: Beautiful track from the forthcoming ‘Abysma’ LP from Baths member Will Weisenfeld. It’s serene, pensive, perfect for some down time. The whole album has been described as ‘subtle as a Sunday morning ritual, a tender epiphany in a bombastic fireworks show.’ Ghostly doing the business, pre-order it here.

5. Ponty Mython – Why Can’t We Both Be Right EP: The excellently-named producer is dropping a four track EP on FINA Records, this one’s the laid-back and jazzy number and it’s out on vinyl on 24th March, 12th May digitally.

DJ Boring in the mix for i-DJ last week to get your weekends moving (catch him alongside Project Pablo and DJ Seinfeld at Phonox on 12th May…):

Magic Mountain EP

We could not be happier to bring this next EP to your attention:

In addition to being Human Drizzle Presents stalwarts (through their Paradise Forum collective) and general bosses, Joe and Eamonn are also putting out their own as-yet-unnamed material. SPOILER: It’s great.

‘Magic Mountain’ is made up of four smooth, disco and soul-infused house tracks that speak to their extensive record collections. Our early fave is ‘Popcorn Riddim’, an urgent cut that carries you along with it.

The EP is awaiting pressing as the first release of their Sugarhouse Records imprint and we’ve put ourselves down for one of the first batch. You should too.
