Justin Jay – Everything EP

Out now on Southern Fried Records, here’s the tasty new EP from 19 year old Justin Jay from LA. We’re huge fans of both tracks – for the most part they take a laid back approach through deep house with the occasional, well-measured piano build. Lovely stuff from the youngster.

The EP comes armed with two remixes each from the brilliantly-named Jack Fell Down and Frogs In Socks. Our choice cuts are the garage version and the dub version respectively. Have a listen:

Ultraista – Gold Dayzz (Maribou State Remix)

With the tidal wave of trap and hurricane of house, we haven’t listened to enough of this kind of music recently:
London-based duo Maribou State have continued to surf the momentum from their recent EP ‘Scarlett Groove’, out on Southern Fried Records, to put together this really, really lovely remix of Ultraista’s upcoming release, ‘Gold Dayzz’. Ultraista are the new outfit of Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and he’s taken their impeccable taste in electronic music with him, signing off on this meandering, comforting, tuneful five minutes of electronica.
Maribou State also kicked off a new mix series last week, ‘The Honey Collection’ and it’s a perfect pm listen. Up-and-comer fLaKo makes an appearance, as does old-timer Burial, and you can catch some of the above EP in there too:
Soothing stuff.
