Lorca – Creta Kano (Alternative Version)

Naked Naked are on to another winner with Lorca‘s forthcoming ‘Creta Kano’ release. The Brighton-based producer returns to Breach’s label with a three-track EP featuring originals ‘Malta Kano’ and ‘Creta Kano’, and thankfully, he’s also rustled up an alternative version of the latter.

Synths play the lead role in this urgent, but dreamy banger. We like it a lot. Hits the shelves on 20th November…

Lorca – Calcutec/Ndlamu

Lorca returns to Breach’s Naked Naked label for a stonking release that’ll kick off your weekends.

‘Hypnotic’ and ‘tribal’ are two adjectives that are littering Lorca’s press, and you can see why. Both ‘Calcutec’ and Ndlamu’ are boisterous numbers, with rolling drums and repetitive samples leading the bass-heavy charge. Why is this Brighton producer not bigger than he actually is?

The EP’s out on Monday. Do yourself a favour and grab a copy.

Lorca – Naoko

Now, time to take a step back as we go a little deeper.

First up is the latest production from Lorca, who grabbed our attention last year with his blinding remix of Ghostpoet’s ‘Cold Win’. All the big guns were lauding it – Midland went as far as to claim it was the remix of the year. High praise indeed. The Brighton based producer is back here with ‘Forgive Me Love / Naoko’, out on Breach’s Naked Naked label in mid-Feb.

Real late night bus ride vibez, this one grows and swells and will stay with you. Lorca is going to be part of the furniture come the end of 2014.

Then, making his apparent return to production for quite some time is Finnebassen – we’ve not heard anything from him since this gem dropped last year. ‘Fiskeda’ is stripped back Deep House, perfectly restrained.

Great to have the Norwegian back.

You can catch Lorca at XOYO next Friday with Breach and Deetron. Finnebassen is playing in Liverpool on the 7th of Feb, which is a moot point really as you will all be at Bar 512 with us.
