Fort Romeau Remixes

Your boy Fort Romeau is in demand! Three dreamy new remixes from the South Londoner…

First up, he intertwines his usual dose of slow-building, synth-laden mastery to German duo Adana Twins latest collaboration with Human Life, ‘Perspective’. Akin to most of FR’s work, the track really flourishes in the latter stages. Courtesy of Exploited, add it to your collection here.

Below, the excellent Permanent Vacation’s new signing Kauf has commandeered the South Londoner to inject a dose of sunshine into ‘Through The Yard’.

Out yesterday.

Last up, Australian artist Ry X’s new single, ‘Deliverance’ gets the once over ahead of its release on 6th May on Infectious Music. Lovely stuff:

Sirens Of Lesbos – Long Days Hot Nights (Claptone Remix)

The interestingly-named Greek six-piece collective Sirens of Lesbos are releasing their debut single ‘Long Days Hot Nights’ a week today on Exploited Records. It’s a wonderful slice of what they call ‘Fantasy Music’, an ode to the balearic spirit of summer. Claptone‘s on the release too, providing a remix that‘ll take it from the beach and onto the dancefloor.

Not a bad start to the week:

Copy Paste Soul – Blink / Feel Me

Here’s the preview for the upcoming release from London-based producer Copy Paste Soul. ‘Blink/Feel Me’ is out on the excellent Berlin-based Exploited Records and like his last stormer of a release on the label, it’s a big triumph. The label describes him as a new artist who’s “making gnarly things feel good and fluffy things feel nasty.” Whether that’s appealing or not, they do have a point. There are more twists and turns in this chap’s music than an episode of Jonathan Creek. We can’t quite put our fingers on what it is exactly, but Copy Paste Soul is producing some exciting stuff right now and it’s giving us real itchy feet. Here’s the one he made earlier:

Copy Paste Soul – 1000 Thankyous

Here’s something to give your Fridays a little boost. Having recently gained over one thousand followers on Soundcloud, London-based producer Copy Paste Soul crafted this high-energy DnB track to say thank you. Make sure you’ve had a couple of coffees before you plug this one in.

We’ve been keeping a close eye on this fella ever since he dropped his ‘Look At Me’ EP on Exploited Records earlier this year, a real gem wethinks. That and some exciting unreleased material feature on the brilliant mix he did the other day for T. Williams on Rinse FM. Both are below and are the perfect soundtrack to your Fridays.

If you’re still interested, this week saw the elusive figure do a remix for Photek too that’s worth an ear. Busy chap.

Claptone – No Eyes feat. Jaw

Out on Exploited, ‘No Eyes’ is the new one from German-based DJ and producer Claptone. With top vocals from Jaw this track ambles along very nicely. Here’s how Claptone first stole our hearts back in early 2012.

Homework – Ask Yourself (Audiojack’s Chemical Rewind)

We didn’t think Homework’s classic summer hit ‘Ask Yourself’ could get much better. The jury’s not out yet but Audiojack’s recent offering certainly is noteworthy. The original tune from the Dutch duo is an insanely catchy, deep house track that begs you to the dancefloor. The video’s quite neat too.

Audiojack have stretched it out a bit and added in some top notch piano chords. The timing on this one’s spectacular. Highly praised on the promo from acts like T.E.E.D and Huxley, even German greats Adana Twins claim “it’s da absolute shiaaaaat! People love it and we love it!” Couldn’t agree more. It was released on Exploited this week.
