Top 5 Tracks of the Week

1. The Violet Hour – Prisoner Of Love: Second taster from Massimiliano Pagliara and Fort Romeau’s side-project, The Violet Hour. Slow-building cosmic disco number taken from their three-track EP.

2. DJ Seinfeld – Forget U: Another dreamy cut from the hotly-tipped DJ Seinfeld aka Rimbaudian aka Armand Jakobsson.

3. Flume – Tiny Cities feat. Beck (Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas Remix): Disco titans add an injection of fun to Flume’s ‘Tiny Cities. Not that it needed it of course.

4. Jad & The – Love Tool: Infectious, jazzy number from the Berlin-based, Australian producer formerly known as Jad & The Ladyboy. Keep an eye out for the Super Fun Bumper side-project he runs with Charles Murdoch too.

5. Seb Wildblood – Melodic Tools: Two forthcoming releases on South London label Church, as penned by label head. Always a treat.

And for your Brucey Bonus this week, plug into Tim Sweeney’s Best of 2016 show for an extended listen. It’s goood.

Gwilym Gold – Muscle (Beam Remix)

It’s hot outside (if you’re livin it up in the UK), everyone’s a little tetchy, maybe time to take a break from the pumpin’ house? Go on then, just for one post:

Gwilym Gold, last seen by HD thrashing around at The Macbeth fronting up The Golden Silvers, has sashayed his way through a White Cube residency with visual artist Eddie Peake and emerged out the other end with low-fi ballad, ‘Muscle’. The first release on Eddie’s new ‘Hymn’ label, it comes with the above remix by Beam. This enigmatic (i.e. no RA profile) producer has injected just the right amount of percussion and uplift to calm the most hot and bothered of listeners.
