NVOY – Higher

Fresh from smashing it out the park at Human Drizzle Presents (seen the pics yet??) London-based duo NVOY are back with brand new single, ‘Higher’.

Premièred by Annie Mac and gaining decent support across the blogosphere, the lads are continuing to carve out a solid rep for their soulful future house. They’re back on Black Butter Records for this catchy release, with a handful of live dates with the label to boot. New Year’s Eve at Manchester’s Albert Hall with Rudimental, David Rodigan and a load of other top guests looks particularly juicy.

NVOY – All Night

Fresh from a stint playing the We Love series in Ibiza, London duo NVOY are back on home turf with their brand new single ‘All Night’, released on Black Butter Records. And guess what? They’re back just in time to get their heads together for the next Human Drizzle Presents at Basing House on 25th September.

With stabbing synths and an infectious bassline, ‘All Night’ sees the Black Butter duo put their own spin on classic four-to-the-floor house. It’s a catchy number, and having already won the hearts of bloggers and YouTube channels with their previous work, they look destined to follow in the footsteps of similar future house producers such as Blonde and label mates Gorgon City.

We’re delighted to have them playing for us on Friday 25th September, and together with HD fave Ben Gomori, our resident Hot Karl AND a very special guest, it’s set to be a night to remember. Tickets are currently a steal at just £6 over on RA.

See you down the front?

NVOY – Girl

Swirling synths, catchy vocals and fidgety beats are the order of the day from London-based NVOY.

First up, the Black Butter Records-affiliated duo unleashed an exclusive track called ‘Girl’ on Annie Mac’s Free Music Monday service. That one’s free to download. And secondly as they quite rightly put it, their ‘remix of Blonde’s latest single is ready to smash up a club near you’:

Head over to their SoundCloud to keep in the loop. One of their first offerings, ‘You Are’, is being served up as the opener for Black Butter’s ‘Spread Love Volume 5′, a compilation featuring a carefully chosen selection of breakthrough artists. Check out the tune below and cop the release here.

Premiere – Fono – Feet On The Ground (Franc Moody Remix)

We’ve been waxing lyrical about Franc Moody for a while now, so it’s particularly exciting to say we’ve got the first play of their brand spanking new remix. It’s a dose of feel-good, hazy tones perfect for this closing chapter of summer we’ve found ourselves hastily flipping through:

For more on the London based group, we’d highly recommend checking their SoundCloud for a healthy serving of cosmic disco goodness akin to the likes of Todd Terje, Eli Escobar and Lindstrom. From their recent EP, ‘T’s and C’s’ hit the shelves courtesy of Juicebox Recordings back in June:

And as for ‘Feet On The Ground’ above, we look no further than another member of the Juicebox fam – Fono. Filed next to Duke Dumont, Karma Kid and NVOY, the Brighton producer is forging a solid rep for his forward thinking take on house music.

It’s taken from his forthcoming ‘Kinetic’ EP which features everything from the smooth and dreamy tones of ‘E^ST’ to the catchy hi-hats and heavy bass of ‘Levitate’. With its bouncy synth chords and stand-out vocal, ‘Feet On The Ground’ finds that perfect balance of dancefloor fodder and pop sensibilities.

Hit written all over this one:

Human Drizzle Presents @ Basing House, 25.09.15

Thanks to all who came down to Basing House for the last Human Drizzle Presents. We loved every minute of it – huge props to Wolf Music, Ben Gomori, NVOY and Hot Karl for dropping all sorts of bombs.

Salif Keita and Jocelyn Brown were two of the more offbeat selections, and it’s been a while since we’ve heard Osunlade in a club. Good times.

First photos below – the rest will be all over our Facebook page shortly.

Human Drizzle Presents @ Basing House – 25.09.15

HD_September_2015_fb_coverHaving recently announced the excellent Wolf Music as headliners joining NVOY, Ben Gomori and Hot Karl for our party this Friday night, we’re limbering up for what is promising to be a night to remember.

Basing House, 10pm on Friday 25th. Get your tickets here.

Although we’ve already featured Wolf Music’s top tunes of the summer, you need look no further than this mix they did for Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space back in April for the kind of music they like to throw together. You can see the tracklisting here, but highlights would have to come from their own label’s exports, Medlar and Frits Wentink. Not to mention the superb K.98 remix of Thrilogy’s ‘Heaven’, also released on Wolf.

NVOY recently dropped the above infectious piece of future house on Black Butter Records. For the longer listen, check the mix they’ve done for the label’s London’s forthcoming parties below:

Penultimately, check out HD fave Ben Gomori’s exclusive recording of his Bestival set this year. He’s played for us twice before and we can’t wait to have him playing again.

Last but not least. Hot Karl rustled this one up a few weeks ago. A selection of his favourite tracks from the year to get you going.

See you Friday.

Wolf Music:
If you’re unaware, Wolf Music are a duo consisting of Matt and Stu. They’ve been running the highly-reputable eponymous label since 2009, and they’ve been playing records for a lot longer. Deeply rooted in house, disco and soul, they’ve forged an identity for themselves as one of the hottest labels to keep your eye on, championing fresh talent such as Medlar, PBR Streetgang, Casino Times and Bicep to name a few. Their extensive record collection is rivalled by few and attracts bookings all across Europe.

This summer’s seen them play at Gottwood and Festival No. 6. They’ve played for Krankbrother, at Dance Tunnel and they recently made an appearance at XOYO as part of Bicep’s residency. Check out a few of our favourites from the label’s canon below, and stay tuned for more on the duo very shortly.

We can’t wait to see what they bring to the party this Friday night. Joining Black Butter Records’ new signing NVOY, HD fave Ben Gomori and our very own Hot Karl, you’d be a fool to miss out on this one.

Hot Karl exclusive Human Drizzle mix

Human Drizzle’s resident DJ, Hot Karl, has pulled together a selection of the year’s best tracks – and some old favourites – to create an expertly-curated 75 minute mix, if we don’t say so ourselves.

Starting with a slow groove, the mix opens with sun-kissed toe-tappers ‘(I Know) What You Want’ by András & Oscar and Jack J’s ‘Thirstin’, before he gently pulls us out to deeper waters with DJ Koze, Frankey & Sandrino and Percussions.

If you live in the UK and you’re feeling down due to the impending sun-less six months ahead, this is a little reminder of being back on that beach/lounger/super-yacht.

Hot Karl will of course be opening things up for Ben Gomori, NVOY and our yet-to-be-announced special guest headliner at Human Drizzle Presents – Basing House next Friday 25 September.

Early bird tickets will cease to be available this evening – we encourage you buy before the price increase.

Human Drizzle: The Playlist, September 2015

It’s fair to say August has been a wash out. Fear not though, there’s an abundance of things to brighten up your horizon. Firstly, our September playlist. And secondly, our September party.

The playlist’s this month is short and sweet. With highlights including a dreamy number from Dekmantel’s Young Marco and a jazz-infused classic from the heavily-hyped duo from Peckham, Chaos In The CBD. Future Classic are back in business with three new tracks and Leon Vynehall’s penned a tune inspired by the Autobahn.

It’s all good stuff, dive in:

With just over a few weeks to go, £6 early birds are running low for our tenth edition of Human Drizzle Presents. Buy yours here.

Ben Gomori, NVOY, our very own Hot Karl and one very special guest are all taking centre stage. Basing House won’t know what’s hit it. Friday 25th September – see you down there.
