Bodhi – Satisfaction EP

Welsh duo Bodhi have recently dropped the final two cuts from their ‘Satisfaction’ EP, out now on the excellent Exploited label. They’ve chucked everything but the kitchen sink into the seven minutes that make up the funky ‘Truth’, and ‘Soul Music’ does what it says on the tin, with the added bonus of a thumping Bodhi beat. They join the excellent ‘Satisfaction’ on the EP, and we’re big fans of both:

If you’re after something a little longer, they’ve put together an uplifting and feel-good 30 minute mix for Outlook festival, ahead of their performance there this summer.

Bodhi – The Oakland Chinwag

Bodhi taking things harder, better, faster, stronger with new release ‘The Oakland Chinwag’. The rolling tune from our number one Welsh duo features on the forthcoming compilation album from Waze & Odyssey’s label, Street Tracks.

And it’s in good company too, with the album featuring a strong line-up of HD faves including Ejeca, Eliphino and Citizen. Not to mention the stonkin’ ‘TPW’ by Berlin-based Mancunian xxxy.

Hopefully this bass-heavy, high-hat parade will be amongst the canon of tunes he brings with him for his headline slot with Fort Romeau at Human Drizzle Presents next Friday. The 5th December that is, at Brixton’s Plan B. It’s going to be FUN.

Bodhi – LVE

Right then. This one’s got all the key ingredients for a feelgood party tune…Female vocals? Tick. Retro piano riff? Tick. Thumping beat? Tick. Top work yet again from our (everyone’s?) favourite Welsh duo, Bodhi.

Like what you hear? It’s your lucky day – head over here for the free download.

Bodhi – I Need You EP

Doc Daneeka’s Swansea-based label Ten Thousand Yen have got their dibs on the new EP from fellow Welshmen, Bodhi.

As we’ve come to expect from their livelier side, the three-track ‘I Need You’ EP is a party-starter. All three tunes delve into toe-tapping house, brilliantly accompanied by the Welsh duo’s usual dash of quirkiness. The killer vocal and punchy percussion in ‘I Need You’, the Jazzier side of ‘WUH’ and the subtle atmospherics to ‘Soul Seeker’, all make this new EP of theirs another top notch effort.

‘I Need You’ hit the shelves at the beginning of the week, go grab a copy.

Dobie – Cloud 98 3/4 (Bodhi Remix)

Another silky cut from our favourite Welsh duo, Bodhi.

They’ve remixed the late 90s hit ‘Cloud 98 3/4‘ by Dobie, which is due for a re-release with remixes also coming from Hics, Black Classical and Dobie himself. The lads have chopped up the vocals and added their usual jittery touch.

It’s moody but once it gets going the Welsh duo’s usual garage and bass-heavy inclinations get the better of it.

Bodhi – No More (Charles Murdoch Remix)

Back in August we featured Welsh duo Bodhi’s smooth remix of Charles Murdoch’s ‘Dekire’. Yours for free on Future Classic, we might add. Now it’s time for the budding producer from Down Under to return the favour on Bodhi’s ‘No More’. Following the same pattern, Future Classic are behind this one, and it don’t cost a penny either.

Download it now as he’s done a job on taking the infectious single that little bit deeper.

Bodhi – Imperfection

Bodhi are releasing their upcoming EP on the brilliant Future Classic very soon. Entitled ‘Imperfection’, the production is as fresh as a daisy on this title track and proves why they’re firmly nestled in the A-league of budding UK producers. A subtle bassline meanders through a wall of stuttering sounds and infectious percussion. It’s catchy yet unpredictable, and we like it a lot.

You can pre-order a copy of the EP here, it’s out on October 7th. We’re most notably looking forward to seeing how Charles Murdoch returns the remix favours. Remember this beauty?

Bodhi Remixes

The lads Bodhi have really been busying themselves and have given us/you a couple of smooth bangers to add to last month’s brilliant Charles Murdoch remix.

First up is their rethinking of ‘Without’ by SBTRKT et al collaborator, Sampha. This is pure dancefloor fodder. Retaining the original tune, but adding a lively house beat, it’s great and, once again, on free download.

This was followed by the arrival of Olly and Luke’s remix of Forrest – ‘Shiny Suit Man’. Slightly more relaxed, but still a mover, we love it.

Sadly, their night on October 4th alongside Joe Goddard and Bondax in a #secreteastlondonlocation has sold out. But, if you’re a Londoner, you can catch Bodhi throughout the Autumn as they’ve got a few dates lined up.

Charles Murdoch – Dekire (Bodhi Remix)

It’s a real pleasant surprise to have Bodhi back on the scene with their remix of Charles Murdoch’s ‘Dekire’. Not only are Future Classic serving it up as a free download, but our favourite Welsh production duo are flexing a more downbeat and atmospheric approach to this refix. More strings to their bow ‘n all.

Future Classic shall be releasing Bodhi’s upcoming EP ‘Imperfection/No More’ in October, around about the time they’ll be on a UK tour supporting Bondax. For anyone in the capital, we’d recommend you get yourselves down to iCAN Studios in Hackney for that one, it’s on the 4th.

Culture/Deliquesce still sounding fresh:
