This one really gets the cogs moving.
‘Empire of the Summer Moon’ is Harbinger Kurt’s first mix and introduction to the shapes and sounds that have influenced them. Their debut single ‘Believe’ is nestled in 35 minutes deep, and their remix of Solomun Grey’s ‘Choir To The Wild’ closes proceedings – really recommend plugging in if you have a couple of hours spare, it’s an atmospheric and thought-provoking listen.
They’re warming up for two of Avant Garde’s forthcoming London parties, the latter taking place on Sunday 28th August at Bankside Vaults. That night hosts a colossal line-up including John Talabot, Roman Flugel, Fort Romeau, Prins Thomas and Sau Poler. Cleveland will also be doing a live set too, it’s one to stick firmly in the diary.
We have minimal details on Harbinger Kurt, besides knowing they’re a duo and one half is a co-founder of Moodroom Collective, a label and club night you should get to know. Talking of which, why not cop a load of said label’s first dreamy release from US-based JVXTA – ‘Never Again’, the final track’s a firm fave:
