Shura – What’s It Gonna Be

Shura’s rise to nigh-meteoric fame has been relatively speedy. Since our attention was grabbed by the saucy vid for ‘Touch’ a couple years back, she’s comfortably been one of the UK’s brightest young talents.

The video for said single has clocked up over 26 million views and she’s been remixed by heavyweights such as Four Tet, Jungle and Factory Floor’s Gabe Gurnsey (amongst so many others). Her year’s about to get a whole lot better as she releases her debut album on Polydor on 8th July, whilst also playing Primavera, Parklife and Wilderness (amongst so many others).

Not to mention she had her first headline slot at Koko last night.

She’s doing alright. Recently crowned as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record, you can now cop her new single ‘What’s It Gonna Be?’ – a brilliant piece of 80s-influenced, feel-good pop:

She’s playing the courtyard at West London’s K-West Hotel as part of her headline slot for the Bushstock festival on 18th June, check her website for more details on that intimate affair.
