Fast-rising London DJ Fold produced one of our favourite records of 2015 with the excellent ‘Calmer Mood’ and now he’s back on our radar with another sample-heavy number.
‘Mills Theme’ is a less angular track than ‘Calmer Mood’ or November’s ‘Dreamscape’, eschewing spoken samples and stop-start percussion for a catchy guitar line and hypnotic beat that rise and fall for just shy of 11 minutes. It’s the perfect tonic for your still-sore head this first Monday of 2016.
