Tensnake’s heavy on the commission front of late.
We featured his darn right gloomy (but still ace) remix of Psychemagik’s appropriately-named ‘Black Noir Schwarz’ a week ago. This being just a matter of days after he’d got his grubby mitts on one of the stand-outs of the year so far, Duke Dumont’s superlative ‘I Got U’. The man’s in fine form and still managing to churn them out – so much so we can’t keep up. Here’s his equally impressive remix of ‘Hey Now’ by now-old Turks, London Grammar:
Creating an 80s-influenced sound, he’s added a healthy amount of bump ‘n grind to the tune, transforming it into a dancefloor-ready bop that still stays true to Hannah Reid’s impressive lung power. The remix is out 16th March, get your dibs on it here.
However if we were going to recommend you splitting ways with your hard-earned cash in the near future, we’d have to point you in the direction of the highly-anticipated debut album from Tensnake. About time, right? The album’s called ‘Glow’ and it’s out on Monday 10th March, via Virgin Records.
He’s uploaded a minimix to whet the appetite, and that it surely does. There’s a lot going on but it sounds like it’s full to the brim with noteworthy tunes (Jeremy Glenn’s vocal midway through sounds particularly good). ‘Glow’ is bound to follow in the footsteps of ‘Settle’ and take the more electronically-inclined to the Top of the Pops.
