Factory Floor – Turn it up

Come on, wake up. Time to get cracking.

Help yourself shake off that Carnival hangover with a taster from Factory Floor’s imminent debut album, available to download over at Rolling Stone:

‘Factory Floor’ is due out on 9 September and, if ‘Turn It Up’ is anything to go by, they’ve settled in nicely at new home DFA. Is that a cowbell we hear?

Roosevelt – Elliot

HD fave Roosevelt has finally released his debut EP on Greco-Roman; we’ve been waiting a while for this one. Title track ‘Elliot’ is a little more subdued than his other material, but it’s still steeped in his trademark, balmy atmos. One for the lazy afternoons, this.

We’re not quite sure which of the three Roosevelt tunes we’ve posted in the past we enjoy most – what are your thoughts?

Chris Malinchak – So Into You

Chris Malinkchak is back.

He’s finally releasing his near-classic summer jam ‘If You’ve Got It’ in, erm, early November on Relentless Records. To keep interest ticking over nicely until then, he’s unleashed this sun-downer. ‘So Into You’ is another freebie, too.

Glasser – Shape

Welcome back, Cameron Mesirow.

What? You didn’t know that was Glasser’s real name? Embarrassing. Anyway, she’s back with the first snippet from her new album, due out on True Panther in October:

‘Shape’ is another slice of sad-but-soaring electronica, following neatly on from 2010’s fantastic ‘Ring’. If the LP is half as good as that, we’re in for a treat.

RAC – Let Go (ft. Kele & MNDR)

Following ‘Hollywood’, RAC’s flawless debut pop song from last year, here’s the US producer’s next single, ‘Let Go’:

This catchy little number features both Kele and MNDR on vocals and was released yesterday on Cherrytree/Interscope Records, you can buy it here. It may have taken the Remix Artist Collective a year or so to pen some more original material of their own, but they’ve certainly not been AWOL. They’ve been responsible for a string of excellent remixes, most notably tweaking tunes from Two Door Cinema Club and Bloc Party:

Jacques Greene – Greene02

Right up our street, this is.

These two are Jacques Greene reworks of Ciara tracks now available to download for your offline pleasure. He’s packaged them both up as GREENE02 and, for continuities’ sake, here’s GREENE01 from a couple of years back:

He’s consistently doing a job.

Bondax – Giving It All (Friend Within Remix)

Liverpudlian Friend Within has gone from strength to strength since he landed on our radar back in March. He was on remix duties for HDP star Harry Wolfman’s co-written deep house ’96 Affair’ EP. Since then he’s managed to push Fatboy Slim’s classic ‘Renegade Master’ back on the scene, simultaneously securing pride of place as the first release on Disclosure’s label Method Records. It was the B-side to ‘The Scene’, the hefty number the brothers Lawrence premiered on their Essential Mix just ten days ago. Both tunes are quality, head here to purchase the whole EP.

And for his next offering? He’s remixed Bondax’s ‘Giving It All’, and in doing so has created a heady, piano-led party tune. He’s going places, this lad.

Fort Romeau – Stay True

This is seriously good.

HD regulars will know that Fort Romeau has been putting out intriguing house for some time now, and the title track from his new EP ‘Stay / True’ is no different:

This is a seven-minute grower with shades of LCD Soundsystem and Nicolas Jaar and it whets the appetite nicely for the September 16th release on Ghostly International. More details to come apparently; we’ll be listening.

Tink – Can I (Feat. How to Dress Well)

Thank you, technology.

Courtesy of a half-decent Macbook mic and THE INTERNET, we now have a How to Dress Well verse on suddenly-everywhere Tink’s ‘Can I’.

‘Can I’ was tucked away in the Chicago youngster’s first mixtape, ‘Winter’s Diary’, and is worth hearing in context if you fancy a longer listen. It’s no surprise that Tom Krell wanted in on this action as it’s right up his street: dreamy RnB for late night listening.

And here’s Tink’s recent contribution to supergroup Future Brown’s ‘Wanna Party’:

All good stuff.
