Back in October last year we stumbled across the gem that is Ben Gomori’s ‘Staring You In The Eye’ remix of Dan Croll’s ‘From Nowhere’. It’s a master class of a re-work, and we can’t quite understand why it’s not got the attention it deserves. The piano crescendos are superlative and the tune’s nothing short of totally feel good. What’s quite fun is that today finally sees its vinyl release proper, via London-based SHH Edits. You can purchase it here.
What’s even more exciting is that we’ve managed to persuade Mr Gomori to come spin some records at our next party, Human Drizzle Presents on 3rd August. That’s this Saturday folks. Excitingly we’re throwing the party as part of The Hive Project at the intimate Yard Theatre in Hackney Wick; with two of our other favourite budding London DJs Copy Paste Soul and Vanilla Ace playing too, we’re bursting at the seams. Snap up your tickets and come join the fun:

While you’re there, it may be worth heading over to Pulse Radio. They’ve recently invited Ben Gomori in for their Fresh Blood feature. It sheds some light on his thoughts on the music industry and his own musical background. There’s also a special ‘summer vibes’ mix on there too, which is indeed worth a listen.
