Yuksek @ The Garage, Wednesday 16th November

Impeccably turned-out Frenchman Yuksek (aka, brilliantly, Pierre-Alexandre Busson) is a well-connected man. He has collaborated with Brodinski (as The Krays) and The Magician (as Peter & The Magician) – with the latter also producing a superb remix of Yuksek anthem ‘On A Train’. But his brand of electro is somehow less cool than that of his Ed Banger pals. Yuksek’s piano-led anthems are poppier, more accessible, and in some ways (even) more fun.

Joined onstage by his two friends, the Bewitched Hands and the Shoes (yup), Yuksek was one of our favourite performers at festivals this summer. And on Wednesday 16th November, he’s coming to London. The sweaty nooks and crannies of the jarringly-sponsored Relentless Garage will provide a very different setting from the sun-kissed fields in which we first fell in love with him, but quite frankly we don’t care.

Support comes from ace British synth duo Age of Consent and Tronik Youth DJs. Get yourself a ticket; you won’t regret it.
